Wiwin Siti Aminah Rohmawati - Indonesia Program Director

Wiwin Siti Aminah Rohmawati is the Vice Director of the Institute of Southeast Asian Islam (ISAIs) of Sunan Kalijaga State Islamic University (UIN) Yogyakarta and Coordinator of Srikandi Lintas Iman – SRILI (Interfaith Women’s Community). At ISAIs, she is working to develop research to study and promote a tolerant and moderate Islam in Southeast Asia. While at SRILI she is working to organize an interfaith dialogue and cooperation among women.

She has been working in the field of inter-religious dialogue and peacebuilding for over 15 years. She worked as a researcher, trainer, editor, and executive secretary at INTERFIDEI, a pioneer Institute for interfaith dialogue in Indonesia. She was involved as a co-facilitator on conflict resolution and peacebuilding at the Centre for Study and Peace Development of Duta Wacana Christian University. She finished her MA in inter-religious relations at Sunan Kalijaga State Islamic University.

In 2015, as part of her initiative of KAICIID International Fellows Program (KIFP), she founded the interreligious women’s community called Srikandi Lintas Iman.  In 2015 to 2016 she was also appointed as a Consultant for KAICIID’s MCC (Multi-religious Collaboration for the Common Good) project in Indonesia. Her main interest is women, interfaith dialogue and peacebuilding. Her motto is “work hard, think smart and have a sincere heart”.
